Rubber Duck HM Rubber: Protective coating & sealant
-
This advanced single-component system uses self-crosslinking and cold vulcanization, meaning it cures at room temperature and forms an incredibly durable bond without any primer needed.
For contractors and applicators, that translates to faster application and lower costs without sacrificing performance.
Rigorously tested in independent labs and certified to top industry standards, HM Rubber coatings and sealants deliver reliability you can trust on every project.

-
Wet film thickness (WFT) per coat: 200 – 480µm
Dry film thickness (DFT) per coat: 100 – 250µm
Typical system DFT: 300 - 600 μm
Higher film builds may be specified for extended performance and warranty periods.
Coverage: 2 – 5 m²/ ℓ per coat depending on surface porosity and profile.

Apply this product by brush, roller or airless spray. For porous cementitious surfaces, dilute Rubber Duck HM Rubber 20% - 30% with xylene for the first/primer coat and allow application to dry before proceeding with methodology a or b below.
For high-risk detailing zones, seal all overlaps, fasteners, expansion joints and larger cracks with Rubber Duck HM Graphene Rubber before overcoating with Rubber Duck HM Rubber.
a) General purpose/ steel applications:
Apply two or more coats of Rubber Duck HM Rubber to the surface ensuring to achieve a minimum dry film build of 300µm. Allow 4 hours drying between coats at 25˚C.b) Masonry joints and repaired cracks:
Apply Rubber Duck HM Rubber to repaired cracks and sealed joints. Extend the application from the area by 250mm. Do not allow application to dry.Thoroughly work a needle-punched polyester geotextile membrane firmly into the wet Rubber Duck HM Rubber to obtain maximum saturation from below, smooth out all air pockets and creases. Ensure a minimum of 50mm overlap on the adjoining lengths of the membrane. Do not allow application to dry.
Apply a second coat of Rubber Duck HM Rubber to the wet first coat and saturated wet membrane. Allow 4 hours drying at 25˚C before recoating.
Apply two more coats of Rubber Duck HM Rubber to the surface ensuring to achieve a total dry film build of 500µm.
